If I am going on holiday how long before do I have to cancel the rubbish collection for the period I will be away?
A:
One day before collection.


Q:
Our children have grown up and left the house. It is only the 2 of us in the household now; can we downsize and get
a smaller wheelie bin?
A:
Yes you can change bin size any time.Just phone or e-mail our office


Q:
Which day is the rubbish collection in my area? I am in Papamoa
A:
Papamoa is Tuesday - for other areas in Tauranga click here or for Western Bay District Council click here.


Q:
Can I get a kerbside bin to be emptied every 2 week?
A:
Yes you can have weekly, fortnightly or 4-weekly.


Q:
Why do you always mention a 4-weekly collection and not a monthly one?
A:
The longest service interval we can offer is four weeks (28 days) - most months are 30 or 31 days.


Q:
I am paying for the Full Service. Can I leave my bin at the back of the house? The gate is not locked,
can the driver find it?
A:
Yes, as long as we can access the bin we will empty and return it to the same location.


Q:
If I have prepaid for 6 months and I am away for one month, will that month period be debited
to my account?
A:
As long as you cancel unwanted collections in advance they will be used to extend your prepay term.


Q:
Can I recycle milk bottles and yogurt cartons?
A: 
Type 1 and 2 plastics can be recycled which are mainly milk and soft drink bottles - most yoghurt
cartons are type 5 which cannot currently be recycled in this area.


Q:
If I have prepaid for 6 months, what happen if I cancel my account before the 6 months are over?
A:

If you have been with us for more than 6 months in total then we refund the unused portion of your prepay less a $5.00 admin fee.
If you have been with us for less than 6 months in total then there is a $25.00 early cancellation fee.

No - garden waste needs to go in your rubbish bin.
