Terms and Conditions

Kleana Bins (2002) Ltd Terms and Conditions of Service Agreement

Kleana Bins will always try to collect bins on the days specified but we cannot accept any liability where this is prevented by circumstances outside our control.

Minimum Service Period:

6 months in order to cover the cost of delivery and removal. If service is cancelled within 6 months Kleana Bins reserves the right to charge a removal and cleaning fee of $25.00 inc GST. In all cases we require 2 weeks notice to arrange removal of our bin(s).

Ownership of Bins:

The bin(s) remain the property of Kleana Bins at all times and customers may be charged for lost or stolen bins. The customer is responsible for keeping the bin clean and odour free and must ensure the bin(s) is/are available for removal when service is terminated. Kerbside bins must be taken back in after collection and not left out overnight in breach of Council by-laws.

Kerbside Collections:

Please ensure bins are out before 7 am on collection day. If we call at your address and the bin is not out the normal collection charge will apply - if you don't require a collection you must contact us by 3 pm the working day before collection in order to avoid charges.

Full Service Collections:

Please ensure that your bin is accessible from 7 am on collection day. If we call at your property and cannot access the bin (locked gates, loose dogs, parked cars etc) the normal collection charge will apply. If you don't require a collection you must contact us by 3 pm the working day before collection in order to avoid charges.

Acceptable Waste types for Rubbish Bins:

We accept most household waste (food scraps, packaging, paper, glass, plastic containers, cans etc.). We cannot accept hazardous waste, rocks, soil, concrete, construction waste, car parts, large pieces of steel, hot ashes. Bins containing prohibited material may be left behind or incur extra charges. If in doubt please contact us.

Acceptable Recycling for Recycling Bags:

Clean Paper, Cardboard, Aluminium and Steel Cans, Plastic Containers (types 1 and 2 , mostly milk and soft drink bottles). Items contaminated with food waste, expanded polystyrene (meat trays), nappies, cigarette butts etc are not acceptable. Bags containing unacceptable material may be left behind or incur extra charges. If in doubt please contact us.

Garden Waste:

We accept Garden Waste in our Rubbish Bins but please be aware that wet vegetation and soil can be very heavy and may make your bin overweight which could incur extra charges.

Weight Limits:

Our disposal cost are based on weight and we therefore have to set reasonable weight limits for each bin size.

Maximum weights are 50 kg for 240 litre (full size) Wheelie Bin and 25kg for 120 litre (half size) Wheelie Bin. If your bin is overweight we will try to contact you to discuss but there will be an extra charge or in the case of very heavy bins we may have to leave them behind.

Extra Rubbish:

If you have extra rubbish please contact us in advance and we will be happy to collect it , extra charges will apply. We will not take extra rubbish if not requested in advance.

Prices:

Prices may vary with 1 months notice (arrears or AP customers) or on renewal (prepay customers) due to operational cost increases.

Charges:

With the exception of casual drums, our charges are based on a regular scheduled collection service.

Credit Card:

We charge an additional 1.5% on all credit card purchases.

Payments:

Payment needs to be 5 working days in advance for Automatic Payment customers or within 28 days of renewal invoice date for prepay customers.

Stopping of Service:

In the event of payment not being received on time we reserve the right to stop servicing your bin. In this event there may be charges for bin recovery, debt recovery and debt collection costs.
We would much rather be rubbish collectors than debt collectors. If you are having financial difficulties please talk to us so we can try to find a solution.
